"I probably wont play in the game this week," said Boston, after skipping Wednesdays practice with a bruised heel. "But we are playing it by ear, going day to day, and its getting better each day."

Head coach Marty Schottenheimer said Boston, whos listed as questionable, has consulted three doctors and the consensus is its a soft-tissue injury. Its been bothering Boston since training camp.

"I probably will not play in the game this week, simply for the fact that Im probably going to stay off it this week and give it a chance to heal," said Boston, who was slowed by the injury during Sundays loss to Kansas City and caught just two passes for 20 yards.

"Coach Schottenheimer has a rule that if you dont practice in the week that he doesnt want the guy to play. So what Im going to do is rest it this week and hopefully be back next week.

"Im not planning on practicing this week, so he has that rule, if you dont practice you dont play. So for right now Id say Im not going to play."
