Offensive coordinator John Shoop said the Bears will do some things Monday night against Green Bay they were unable to do much in the first two games.

"We probably havent shifted and motioned and done as many of those things as we have in the past," Shoop said. "Again, Im not saying thats because of our quarterback. Part of its because our first two games of the year were home openers for (opponents). Its hard to communicate in the huddle in general.

"So well have a few more shifts and things like that at home because it wont be as loud in our huddle."

While it was clear the Bears kept it simple for the benefit of Kordell Stewart, that wasnt the only reason. Shoop said a rebuilt offensive line had something to do with it as well.

"It wasnt necessarily for [Stewart], but for us, that we did pare some things down," Shoop said. "This off week has given us a chance to catch up some of those younger guys and the quarterback as well, get them more physical reps out there."

In retrospect, Shoop admitted he probably should have gotten Stewart more playing time in preseason to get him
