Head coach Jack Del Rio would not divulge his plan for Sundays game against Houston, leaving open the possibility that Brunell, Leftwich or second-year quarterback David Garrard could start.

"We have three quarterbacks we like. One is injured. Were evaluating him," Del Rio said. "Its day-to-day, and thats where were at."

Leftwich, the first-round draft pick from Marshall, has been Jacksonvilles second-string quarterback in all three games. In the last two, he has entered with the game out of hand and led the Jaguars to touchdowns.

The scoring drives, plus the teams 0-3 start, has fueled a desire among fans to see the rookie play quickly.

"Maybe there are some people who are anxious to see me," Leftwich said. "But I dont listen to that. None of that stuff can help me get better."

He said he wouldnt put any more pressure on himself to be ready for this week.

"But its a dream to be out there, playing in the National Football League," he said.
