It should be stressed that Vermeil went out of his way to state Gonzalez wasnt hurt badly.

"He bumped into a player but hes fine," the coach said when asked about the star tight end. "He went on and practiced."

Asked how Holmes looked, Vermeil replied: "He was fine. He worked good. He took more reps than I thought he would. We sort of let Priest control all of that because no one knows how he feels better
