"They throw some curve balls at you on Wednesday," said Riemersma. "Traditionally that is our first day of installation and theres a lot of stuff that these guys know the ins and outs of that they are breaking out from years past. We havent had the chance to rep them in training camp so they are all pretty new to me. That makes it refreshing. Having to learn each week and every week keeps it exciting for me."
Riemersma wants to continue to work on learning all aspects of the offense and to develop a rapport with Maddox on the field.
"I think we are still establishing that," said Riemersma. "There are some things that we talk about after the play is done if we were together for a couple of years we would be able to give each a look and know what we were thinking. Dolphins cornerback Sam Madison talked only about how his team played poorly, and Houston players took that as a slight.
"Thats the thing thatll hopefully keep these guys going," David Carr said of Madisons comments. "I know its keeping me going. We can play better, but when teams get beat by you and they come out and say stuff like that, it makes you want to come out and do it to another team. So, hopefully, we can do it this week and keep it going.
"We really havent gotten respect for what happened last week. All we hear about is the Dolphins and how they messed up. It was like we werent even out there. We still have some respect to get from teams."
