Plummer was too sore to practice Wednesday, but he made it through Thursday without any problem. He will increase the length of his passes Friday before the team decides if he can play against Pittsburgh.
"We still didn''t ask him to throw it more than 20 yards," head coach Mike Shanahan said. "Hopefully there''s no setback and he''ll get better tomorrow."
Plummer partially separated his shoulder three weeks ago against San Diego, then aggravated the injury Sunday against Kansas City when he was knocked down trying to throw a pass in the second half.
Plummer bounced back from the original injury by gradually increasing the length of his throws, but he also had an extra day of practice to prepare for a Monday night game against Oakland.
"I think very similar to the Raider week," Shanahan said of the plans for Plummer. "I don''t have any guts anymore. I just watch what I see and try to make a decision."
