point in the week? How come the Patriots are so tight-lipped when it comes to this kind of stuff?

Well, in an excellent article published Wednesday, Boston Herald beat man Michael Felger -- noting that "it irritates the media, frustrates fantasy players" -- conceded the iron-fisted manner in which Bill Belichick disseminates injury and lineup information certainly hasn''t won him any popularity contests.

Jeff feels it''s important to get the information out -- so we get it out."

Otherwise, he''s rather conveniently listed everybody else as either questionable or out.

But Reese''s comment
