"Obviously we lean on Eric fairly heavily," Drew Bledsoe conceded. "He''s one of the best players in the league and generally when we take the field we feel like he''s the best guy out there. If Eric is not able to go that hurts us offensively, but we have to have guys step up. That''s the name of the game in this league. No team in this league goes through a season with all their guys healthy, and when guys get hurt, other guys have to step in and make plays."

If Moulds is out, Bobby Shaw will move into the starting lineup. Shaw has been solid as the Bills'' third receiver. He is second on the team with 20 catches for 284 yards and two touchdowns.

The Bills also will need a better performance from Josh Reed, who has struggled with dropped passes this season.

"I don''t think this puts any more pressure on him," Williams said of Reed. "He has to perform to his own abilities. He has to do his own job. Don''t worry about doing someone else''s job; take care of yourself. That''s what (every player) needs to do. You play within the call and the framework of the system. Anything else is gravy."

In case Moulds is out, the Bills plan to elevate young receivers Clarence Coleman and Sam Aiken into a larger role.

Coleman, who beat out veterans Charles Johnson, James Jett and Andre Rone to win the No. 4 receiver spot, has not caught a pass this year in limited action.

Aiken, the second of the Bills'' two fourth-round draft picks in April, has been inactive for every game. There is a chance the Bills will use return specialist Antonio Brown as well.

"It has to be a collective effort," said Shaw. "Obviously, no one can fill Eric''s shoes, but hopefully every receiver on this team prepares himself as if they are going to start every day. You never know what can happen in this game, so you have to be ready when your number is called."
