cornerback Dre'' Bly during one-on-one drills.

"That stinks for him," Gadsden said Tuesday as he was boarding a flight to return to South Florida.

But Rogers'' injury could be good news for Gadsden, who reached an injury settlement with the Dolphins last month after he missed most of training camp with a dislocated foot. Gadsden was cleared by doctors last week and wants to sign with a team as soon as possible.

Gadsden, 33, ranks in the top 10 on the Dolphins'' all-time receiving list in catches (223, ninth), touchdowns (22, ninth) and receiving yards (3,204, eighth). Millen and head coach Steve Mariucci expressed hope that Rogers would play again this season. The Lions have 11 games left.

In case you missed it, Rogers was injured when he became entangled with cornerback Bly in a spirited -- and according to Sylvester, "perhaps too spirited" -- one-on-one drill early in the 90-minute workout.
