said. "Nate has been everything we had hoped, but he''s doing it even quicker than we had hoped."

For now, Burleson is concentrating on his first start. He admits he feels more pressure as a starter than as the No. 3 receiver. But he has no complaints.

"I feel like I''m the luckiest draft pick in the entire league this season," Burleson said. "Some rookies may feel like they''re not being used enough and they''re in the wrong system. I couldn''t imagine being on another team in the league. I''m on an undefeated team, I play with great guys and I''m starting alongside Randy Moss. It couldn''t be better."

Also of interest. ...

According to the Sporting News, Moss was held out of Friday''s workout to rest his back for today''s game at Atlanta. Tice said it''s nothing serious and that Moss will play Sunday.

And in an article published Friday, ESPN.com insider Len Pasquarelli noted that with a decimated secondary, look for the Falcons to bring plenty of blitzes against the Vikings today.

Word around the league is that the Vikings running backs are a bit suspect in blitz pickups, and pass blocking in general, and that might be a shortcoming the Falcons attempt to exploit.

However, as Pasquarelli speculated, if the Falcons blitz and the Vikings pick it up, Moss is apt to have a huge outing against the Atlanta undermanned secondary.

And finally. ...

In an article published Monday, Pro Football Weekly, citing an unnamed personnel source in Minnesota, reported that Michael Bennett could play in early November, possibly Week 10 at San Diego on Nov. 9.

The source, who in September said it appeared Bennett would not be back as early as expected, said Bennett has made significant progress in the last 14 days.

Barring any setbacks, the Vikings expect to activate him from the physically-unable-to-perform list in late October. The Vikings anticipate Bennett being able to run full speed in the next week.','10/5/2003','12:40:00 AM','Sunday',256 5828,28,5,'Holmgren Happy
