He said he thinks he cracked the ribs in the Baltimore game. He missed the San Francisco game but returned last week against Cincinnati.

"It was a little hard to breathe, but I really wanted to play," he said.

He said the Pittsburgh game tomorrow night is a chance for him to atone for his drop in last season''s playoff loss. Northcutt had six catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns in the 36-33 loss, but dropped a third-down pass with 2:42 left and the Browns up, 33-28. The Steelers scored the game-winning TD on the ensuing drive.

"Everyone knows how the game ended," said Northcutt. "For me, it''s a chance to go back down there and beat the Pittsburgh Steelers."

He said he thinks about the drop more than the six catches or his 59-yard punt return.
