and playing as usual this weekend.

I''ll have more on Robinson''s status when Friday''s practice reports are released.

In a related note. ...

As Tacoma News Tribune beat man Mike Sando put it: "The routine catch no longer exists for the Seattle Seahawks. Matt Hasselbeck''s every pass attempt is fraught with adventure and uncertainty. Will the receiver catch it? If so, will he fumble?"

Sando went on to suggest the team''s receivers are preventing the offense from reaching its potential.

"I believe in them," head coach Mike Holmgren said of Robinson, Darrell Jackson and Bobby Engram. "Have they played as good as I think they can play to this point in the season? I don''t think they have."

Robinson, Jackson and Engram have 73 catches and at least 13 drops through seven games this season. They combined for 97 catches in the final seven games last season, even though Jackson and Engram missed games with injuries.

  • Perhaps opponents are devising better defensive game plans. Coaches around the league surely noticed when Seattle regularly topped 300 yards passing in games late last season.

  • Perhaps Seattle''s top three receivers, affably and now all-too-accurately dubbed "The Three Stooges" by Holmgren, took this season for granted following their blazing finish in 2002.

Robinson seemed particularly captivated by the possibilities.

The former first-round draft choice publicly predicted a breakout season for himself: 100 catches for 1,500 yards and 10 touchdowns. Days before Seattle''s game at Arizona,
