In an article published Friday, ESPN.com senior writer Len Pasquarelli reminded readers that even even though he might currently reside on the endangered species list, of the 14 current NFL head coaches who have coached at least 80 regular-season games, Fassel is the only one who has never experienced a four-game losing streak.

The team is in the midst of its seventh three-game losing streak since Fassel arrived in 1997.

In an article published Thursday, Pasquarelli''s counterpart at SportsLine.com, Pete Prisco, speculated that if the Giants don''t turn things around, and Fassel is let go, former Jaguars head coach Tom Coughlin would probably garner consideration for the spot.
