But Goheen added: "In every other corner of the Bengals world, it was just another day at work as the team tried to move past Dillon''s comments in order to prepare for Sunday''s home game against Seattle."

Dillon did not practice for the second consecutive day Thursday but is listed as probable for Sunday''s game and all indications at this point are he''ll start and play as usual.

For what it''s worth, head coach Marvin Lewis chose to ignore the comments after saying Wednesday that it was a matter strictly between Dillon and the media -- although Dillon said differently. Lewis said Thursday that the matter was not really a matter at all and that it had been closed.

"As I told you yesterday, the Corey matter is between you guys and Corey," said Lewis. "It doesn''t affect our football team or the organization, OK?"

The players, many of whom still hadn''t heard what Dillon''s tirade was about, followed their head coach''s lead and cast off the incident almost as if it never happened.

"The other guys on the team aren''t going to stop doing their jobs just because somebody said something," said offensive tackle Willie Anderson. "Was it the correct time? Who knows? But that''s not going to stop me from blocking my defensive end this weekend or stop Levi [Jones] or those guys from doing their jobs. If it is, you''re in the wrong sport. You need to go back and play high school football where you don''t get paid to do a job. We all still have jobs to do."

Receiver Chad Johnson also questioned the timing of the outburst.

"I''m not sure what''s going on with [Dillon]," Johnson said. "Right now should be the time he should be happy. Things are changing around here, which some of these veterans haven''t had for
