Press, the Redskins changed backup quarterbacks Wednesday, signing Tim Hasselbeck and cutting Rob Johnson.
Hasselbeck has spent the last two training camps with Philadelphia. He spent one game on Carolina''s roster last year, then he appeared in two games with the Eagles as a holder late in the season. Undrafted out of Boston College, Hasselbeck has also spent time in training camp with Baltimore and has played in NFL Europe.
His older brother, Matt Hasselbeck, is the starting quarterback for Seattle.
Johnson, signed by the Redskins during the offseason, appeared in the last two games, both one-sided losses, in relief of battered starter Patrick Ramsey. Johnson completed 5-of-7 passes for 39 yards and was sacked three times.
