Anthony Thomas, who opened the week listed as doubtful due to his sprained foot, was officially ruled out Friday.','10/18/2003','2:30:00 AM','Saturday',357 5928,25,7,'Martz Ready To Push Faulk''s Return Back...','According to St. Louis Post-Dispatch staff Nick Wishart, with Marshall Faulk doing some light jogging behind him, head coach Mike Martz said Friday after practice that he''s not so sure Faulk will be healed in time for the game Oct. 26 at Pittsburgh.

"I would imagine he''s a few weeks away yet," said Martz, who only two days earlier thought Faulk would be ready for the Steelers game. "It''s going to be a little while yet. He''s not quite ready. We''re not in a hurry to get him back, not because we don''t need him. It''s just that when he comes back we want him fully recovered."

Faulk is still recovering on two fronts. He broke two bones in his left hand against Seattle on Sept. 21, and a few days later he had surgery to repair torn cartilage in his right knee.

Faulk was told the knee would take three weeks to heal, and the hand four to six weeks to heal. On Friday, Martz reiterated that the hand is the bigger problem. But he spent more time talking about Faulk''s knee.

"He''s rehabbing the knee, and getting the strength back," Martz said. "From what I understand the knee feels good. It''s just like Kevin [Curtis], it''s
