on passing downs. Chandler expects Seahawks defensive coordinator Ray Rhodes to try to make him look his age.
"Rhodes is a great coordinator and he has a lot of great players so I wouldn''t be surprised if it''s a blitz period all day," he said.
That''s where Chandler''s comfort zone in the offense and quick release may help a struggling offensive line. Stewart sometimes held onto the ball a shade too long in the pocket, either waiting for a receiver to get open or to trying make a play with his feet.
In some cases, that extra split-second made him harder to protect. So while Chandler may be far less mobile than Stewart, in some ways he could be more difficult to sack.
"He feels a lot more comfortable with what we''re trying to do," Shoop said. "Our sacks didn''t come strictly because of the quarterback position and not strictly because of running back blocking or offensive line blocking. But certainly Chris recognizes his role in the scheme of getting rid of the ball."
Added Jauron: "I don''t know if [the offense] will be more comfortable or less but it will be a different timing type of game in our pocket."

"Chris is not the type of guy who''s going to run for 60 yards in a game," White said. "But he''s going to sit back there and find who''s open."

Chicagobears.com senior writer Larry Mayer notes that rookie Rex Grossman is expected to be the team''s No. 2 quarterback this weekend, and even though he obviously doesn''t wish any ill will on his veteran teammate, the youngster also realizes that he must prepare to play should he be needed.
"I''m going to work as hard as I can the rest of the week to be ready if called upon and I''m looking forward to it if that unlikely event happens," Grossman said.
"I would never go into a game thinking that a quarterback''s going to get hurt, but if that were to happen, I''m ready to go and I''m excited about the opportunity."
