Head coach Tony Dungy said Mungro had a "loose body" removed from the knee. He said the Colts would know more about Mungro next week.

The team has a bye this weekend.

The Colts also might be without running back Ricky Williams following the bye week. Williams, who started the last three games as Edgerrin James sat out with a back injury, has a sprained left ankle and is expected to miss two weeks.

Given their shortage of healthy halfbacks, the team re-signed running back Brian Allen Wednesday.

Allen was one of the Colts'' three sixth-round draft picks in 2002 and was the team''s leading rusher during the preseason. But he was released in September and signed to the practice squad.

He was waived a second time before the Colts played New Orleans on Sept. 28. Dillon, coming off a groin injury, walked off the field refusing to talk to the media for the second straight day.

"Hes his old ornery self, pleasant guy to be around," said a joking Lewis. "Hes fired his warning shot." But Lewis wasnt joking when he said, "I just think hes excited to play. A prideful guy who wants to play. And hes worked very hard to get back to be able to play."

Asked about the warning shot, Lewis said, "He fired one at Terrell Roberts today, too," apparently referring to Dillons hit on the rookie cornerback while running the ball.

Dillon is still listed as questionable for Sundays game against the Ravens, but he apparently had a good enough practice that the coach is optimistic.
