"I''m really anxious for him to have an opportunity to have an entire game to carry the load and I think that he is as well," said offensive coordinator John Shoop.
"We don''t intend to take a step backwards at all with regards to the running game even though we may lose some of those quarterback rushing yards and with Anthony coming out. But we do expect Adrian to step back in there and have a big game."

Like Stewart and Thomas, receiver Marty Booker missed practice for a second straight day Thursday and remains questionable for Sunday''s game with a sprained right ankle sustained against the Saints.
If Booker were unable to play, David Terrell would start in his place at the flanker position opposite Dez White. The 2001 first-round pick from Michigan has just 10 catches for 73 yards and 1 TD in five games this season.
"Hopefully it will present more balls coming my way," Terrell said. "With that said, I''ve got to get it and do something with it, which I am going to do. I''ve been waiting a long time. If I get a chance to do something, I''m going to be ready."
The door of opportunity could also swing open for rookie receivers Bobby Wade and Justin Gage. Jauron said that one or both of the fifth-round picks could be active Sunday if Booker were unable to play. Wade has not stepped on the field since fumbling away a punt in the opener and Gage has not suited up all season.
