Boldin is on pace for a 1,590 yard season. The Cardinals'' record is 1,598, by David Boston two years ago. ','10/10/2003','3:20:00 PM','Friday',302 5873,29,6,'Keyshawn Limited Friday, But Still Upgraded To Probable...','Keyshawn Johnson returned to practice Friday morning in what head coach Jon Gruden termed "a limited fashion." Gruden still considers his number-one receiver a real question mark for Sunday''s game in Washington, but the Bucs have upgraded Johnson to probable on the injury report.

"He has shown us some progress," said Gruden. "We''re encouraged by that."

The Bucs should also be encouraged by Johnson''s history of overcoming injuries of this type in time to help his team. Johnson''s willingness to wade into traffic makes him a target for a lot of big hits, and thus minor but troubling injuries. However, after missing two games as a rookie with the New York Jets in 1996, Johnson has sat out just one contest in the following seven seasons, including 2003.

That game, the 2001 season finale against Philadelphia, was a meaningless contest that was not going to affect the following weekend''s playoff seedings so both teams played most of it with backups. Had the game been more significant, Johnson probably would have played.

At the beginning of the week, Johnson was described by Gruden as "very questionable" for the Redskins game, a feeling that was reinforced when the receiver was unable to practice on Wednesday or Thursday.

With Karl Williams also slowed by a hamstring strain and Joe Jurevicius still sidelined by his knee sprain, it appeared as if the Bucs might take on the Redskins with Keenan McCardell, the dependable but not often-used Reggie Barlow and the just re-signed Charles Lee.

Johnson''s work on Friday, while still limited, at least offers hope that the Bucs will have more pass-catching weapons in their arsenal on Sunday.
