Gannon was 125-of-225 for 1,274 yards, six touchdowns and a completion percentage of 55.6 this season. He threw four interceptions and was sacked 17 times for a sub-par 73.5 quarterback rating.
Callahan is holding out hope that Gannon would be ready by spring mini-camps. If not, his future with this franchise could be uncertain, because hes scheduled to make $7 million next season.

The tight end got a second opinion on his sprained left knee and head coach Jim Fassel said Wednesday Shockey could be back on the field in about three weeks.
"I am not saying its better," Fassel said. "Some guys are quick healers and all that stuff."
Shockey sprained the posterior cruciate ligament in the fourth quarter of last Sundays loss to Atlanta. The Giants initially said he would be sidelined six to eight weeks, basically the rest of the regular season.
A lot depends on what the Giants do over the next few weeks. New York will be at Philadelphia Sunday and it will play Tampa Bay on Nov. 24. If the Giants are still in
