Chrebet still has headaches stemming from a concussion he sustained two weeks ago. He arrived at the teams practice facility Wednesday with a headache, and head coach Herman Edwards said the nine-year veteran "didnt feel real good."
He was injured in the third quarter against the New York Giants on Nov. 2, but returned to the game after doctors cleared him to play.
Several days later, Chrebet complained of headaches and fatigue, and did not play last Sunday against the Oakland Raiders.
Earlier in the year, Chrebet hurt his back against the Buffalo Bills. But he complained of migraines, blurry vision and light sensitivity, and it was determined that the force of the hit triggered a post-traumatic migraine. Chrebet did not play the following week against Houston because of his sore back.
According to the Sporting News, Curtis Conway will continue to act as the Jets No. 2 receiver. The team may consider signing a new No. 3, with Oronde Gadsden being one possibility.

The Oakland Raiders placed the quarterback on injured reserve Wednesday.
The 37-year-old Gannon attempted to throw Tuesday for the first time since getting knocked out of Oaklands 17-10 loss to Kansas City on Oct. 20. He was able to raise his arm to throw, but couldnt release the ball, head coach Bill Callahan said.
Gannon, a 16-year veteran, flew home to Minnesota on Wednesday to be examined by the same doctor who performed his shoulder surgery after his 1993 season with Washington. He missed all of the 1994 season and then was released by the Redskins.
