Philadelphia Inquirer beat man Bob Brookover reported this morning that David Akers led head coach Andy Reids list of injuries yesterday.

Reid said Akers had an inflamed toe that kept him out of practice Friday, however the veteran kicker is fully expected to be available for tomorrows game against the Falcons.

However, Akers ailment prompted a question about who the Eagles emergency kicker is.

The answer?

"We would have Chad Lewis kick," Reid said. "We gave him some kicks [Thursday]."

Reid said Lewis also would handle the kickoffs. "He would do all of it," the coach said. "Im not saying it would be pretty."

Asked about Lewis range on field goals, Reid said it was about the same distance as an extra point.

Lewis has never kicked in a game at any level of football.

"Its just something that Ive been doing since Ive been here with the Eagles," he said.

He said he takes one live kick every Thursday during practice. Lewis is confident he can hit a field goal from longer than
