XChange, head coach Bill Cowher liked what he saw in the fourth quarter from his offense in Seattle, when Tommy Maddox passed for 165 yards after being held to 61 in the first three quarters.

','11/8/2003','7:50:00 AM','Saturday',516 6086,12,10,'Favre Gets Mixed Reviews After Fridays Practice...','According to PackersNews.com staff writer Pete Dougherty, Brett Favre returned to practice Friday after two days off to rest his broken right thumb, and the Packers remain concerned that the injury will affect their quarterbacks throwing for the next two or three weeks until he heals more fully.
The Packers practiced outside for the second straight day Friday and Favre had some trouble throwing in the windy conditions and mid-30-degree temperatures. It should be noted, however, the splint that was literally glued to his thumb for last weeks game isnt secured as carefully for practices.
"He didnt grip (the ball) and throw it like he did in the game," offensive coordinator Tom Rossley said after the session was over. "It was hurting him. I saw him warming up and it was bothering him a lot. But he needed to throw and see the (defensive) looks and get into the game plan."
Favre got his usual Friday work and will have a similar day today -- the Packers have an extra day of full practice this week because they play Philadelphia on Monday night. The Packers dont want to aggravate Favres thumb by working him too much, but they also have to get him ready for the Eagles blitz-oriented defense under coordinator Jim Johnson.
When asked if hes even more concerned than last week about Favres thumb, Rossley said, "as concerned, not more. But we were concerned last week, too."
It should be noted, however, Rossley seems to be a bit more concerned that others -- like quarterbacks coach Darrell Bevell.
