Meanwhile, with only three receptions in the past three games, Joey Galloway has fallen from being the Cowboys leading receiver to No. 3 behind Glenn and fullback Richie Anderson.
Galloway, who has 22 catches for 424 yards, believes the balls will start coming back his way and said the key for him is to remain patient.
"I am a receiver and I would like to be involved," Galloway said. "But what helps me sleep at night is that we are winning. Thats the important thing."
According to Fort Worth Star-Telegram staff writer Clarence Hill Jr., reasons abound for Galloways drop in production. His early success has prompted opposing defenses to shade coverage to his side of the field. The Redskins and Lions had their best cover corner following him all over the field, thus making throws to Glenn in the middle of the field the easy read for Carter.
Galloways fortunes could change as soon as tomorrow, since the Bills plan on putting their best cover corner, Antoine Winfield, in the slot against Glenn when the Cowboys go with three wide receivers. That will leave either Nate Clements or third corner Kevin Thomas on Galloway. ...
Also according to Hill, Troy Hambrick said his performance against the Redskins was not redemption for him after the Cowboys signed Adrian Murrell last week.
He credited his 100-yard game -- his second of the season and fourth of his career -- to finally having holes to run through.
Hambrick, who has been playing with a broken finger since the Detroit game three weeks ago, said he was more concerned about making up for the two early fumbles.
But he never worried about his status as the starter because Murrell isnt ready to handle the job full time, sentiments Parcells echoed Thursday when he said Murrells role was solely to be a change-of-pace back behind Hambrick.
