to help my team win," Buckhalter said. "We have three good backs. Its kind of hard to please all three of us."
Each of the three backs adds a different dimension to Philadelphias offense. Westbrook, the leading rusher with 323 yards, is the quickest and fastest runner. Buckhalter brings a combination of speed and power. Staley is the most sure-handed and is the best receiver of the trio.
"I think you need the three running backs," head coach Andy Reid said. "Theyre comfortable going into the game. I think its a great situation to have."
Buckhalters 100-yard rushing performance was the first by a Philadelphia player this season. His 15 carries were his most since he ran 20 times in the final regular-season game in 2001.
Buckhalter fumbled for the second straight week, but Reid went right back to him instead of letting him dwell on the miscue on the sidelines.
"I know that coach Reid and the whole offense have confidence in me," Buckhalter said. "I know Im better than that and its something Im going to have to correct."

With Westbrook sidelined, rookie free agent Reno Mahe will return punts and wide receiver James Thrash will handle kick returns in Westbrooks absence.

As noted by the Sports XChange, Donovan McNabb hasnt been doing much running lately. In the last four games, hes rushed for just 40 yards on 16 carries. Thats the lowest four-game regular-season rushing total of his career. His previous low: 94 yards on 21 carries in Games 2-5 of the 01 season.
On a more positive note. ... McNabbs 73.9 completion percentage Sunday against the Jets was the second highest of his career. He had an 80 percent completion percentage (20-for-25) last November against the Arizona Cardinals, playing most of the game on a broken leg.
David Akers was added to Fridays injury report listed as probable with a sore toe. At this point theres no reason to believe he wont play as usual tomorrow.
