For the season, Wilkins has connected on 27 of his 29 field goals (93 percent), and hes 30-for-30 on extra-point attempts. Wilkins has a franchise-record streak of 247 extra-point attempts without a miss.

Wilkins struggled through an early-season slump last year as he experimented with kicking barefoot.

"You and I both, huh?" Wilkins said of thinking that Martz might cut him last year. "As rough as that was, the bottom line is he stuck with me, and Im here. He could have easily gotten rid of me."

Wilkins said he and Martz have mended their relationship.

"Its been pretty good this year." Wilkins said. "We have no problems, and we talk fine. I have to put the kicks through, and I wasnt putting them through. Fortunately, I was able to get through last year and come back this year and be pretty good. As far as I am concerned, its dead and gone."

Wilkins also is finished with kicking barefoot. He wears a size 8 and a half Nike soccer-style shoe, even though his actually shoe size is 10.
