The veteran quarterback had a limited practice Wednesday and Thursday after feeling a twinge in his right elbow Wednesday. On Friday, he did most of his usual workout leading to Sundays game against AFC East-leading New England.
"We wanted to see if he was able to throw without any pain," head coach Tony Dungy said. "He did and were satisfied."
He leads the NFL with 3,105 yards and a 67.4 percent completion percentage. His 98.8 passer rating is second to Steve McNair and he is one of the leading contenders for the MVP Award.
Manning has made 91 straight starts since the Colts made him the first overall pick in the 1998 NFL draft.

Tight end Marcus Pollard practiced for the second straight day and Dungy expected him to play Sunday, too. Also expected back is wide receiver Troy Walters.
Pollard has missed the past two games with a sprained left knee. "I feel a little fuzzy, but Im going to go and play," Bledsoe said after taking all the snaps with Buffalos starting unit in preparation for Sundays game against the New York Giants at the Meadowlands.
