Holmgren also spoke of individual statistics and not emphasizing them. Alexander, said running backs coach Stump Mitchell, has goals of 1,500 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards this season, but Mitchell said those can be achieved within the framework of the offense.
"We just are stretching the field more now," Mitchell said. "Our guys realize what type of offense it is and I think Shaun now has come to grips with the type of offense, and hes just going to try and excel and get the most out of every run he gets."
Alexander needs 593 rushing yards over the last five games to reach 1,500 yards. He needs 287 receiving yards to get to 500. But he said he cares more about consistency from Holmgren regarding the number of touches he gets in a game.
"Every week were going to go out there and try to score 50 points, and hopefully when the dust finally cools down, well be in really good shape," Alexander said. "Im always going to get around 20 carries, and Im always going to be somewhere around 100 yards. Thats the kind of game that he (Holmgren) likes, so I just try to put myself in a position to be ready to spark whenever its my turn. ..."

He has settled into his role as the punt returner and third receiver, helping make the three-wide sets the most productive in the offense.
Farnsworth added: "The key to Engrams contributions in the passing game is his uncanny ability to get open against man-to-man and zone coverage. He studies opponents tendencies and formations, so he knows what to expect in man coverage and where to find the openings in zones. ..."
