The second-year veteran, and the teams first-round choice in the 2002 draft, Ramsey did not practice in any "team" segments last week and still started. He intends to sit in on all the film sessions this week as well.
But the foot hasnt gotten any better and Ramsey is being advised, sources said, to take some time off.
That would mean Tim Hasselbeck, signed last month, will get his first regular-season start against the Saints. Hasselbeck completed 15 of 30 passes for 150 yards on Sunday night in the most extensive action of his career.
"The only time I feel thats something I want to do is if we go a few weeks into this cast and things just dont get any better," Ramsey said. "Then youre looking at just a few weeks left in the season and how much longer its going to take for me to get better."

According to Redskins.com staff writer Gary Fitzgerald, Ladell Betts participated in practice Wednesday for the first time in more than a month and said that he expects to return to action this Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.
Betts is officially listed as probable for the game.
He suffered a fractured left forearm in the Week 7 game at Buffalo and has sat out the last four games. He practiced lightly last Friday, but was not able to work out with the team at full strength until Wednesday.
"[Team doctors] have cleared me to play," he said. "Im looking forward to getting back out there. Its been frustrating to be out, especially watching guys play the position that you play, and not being able to go out there and help the team win."
Betts season got off to a strong start. In the season-opening win over the New York Jets, he had 77 yards on 18 carries and was a key part of the offense in the Redskins fourth-quarter game-winning drive. A week later, he rushed for 34 yards and had a 13-yard touchdown run in the first half.
