Tim has played very well when he has come in. He probably has a little bit more mobility. You see him moving around. He ran for a touchdown against us on the Sunday night game. They have two quality quarterbacks."
Its no secret that the weakness of the Steelers defense is the secondary. Since the last time the teams met, Cowher benched cornerback DeWayne Washington in favor of Deshea Townsend. Cowher hasnt received much help from strong safety Troy Polamalu, a first-round draft choice this year.
Holcomb isnt buying into the belief that Pittsburghs secondary is an easy victim.
"Theyre doing well defensively," Holcomb said. "Theyre ranked fifth in the league defensively. I cant speak for those guys, but on defense they look pretty good. We need to do what we did last time when we played them -- just stayed poised, handle what they give us, and well be okay."
Couch, who started the earlier game while Holcomb was recovering from a fractured right fibula, was close to perfect. He completed 20 of 25 passes, including touchdown throws of 6 yards to Andre Davis and 9 yards to Kevin Johnson. Couch also ran 9 yards for a touchdown.
The key to that performance was the solid protection the offensive line gave Couch. Holcomb, whos not as mobile as Couch, knows that the Steelers will come at him with a lot of different blitzes.
"They call them Blitzburgh. Thats for a reason," Holcomb said. "You have to be able to pick up all the stunts and dogs that they present you. If you do that, then youll have the possibilities to get some big plays on them. If you dont, then youre going to have a long day."
The Browns have taken on a new look of late with the release of Johnson. Andre Davis moved into a starting role with Quincy Morgan, and Andre King is the fourth receiver.
Cowher has seen enough of the Browns receivers in the last two games. It doesnt matter to him whether Johnson is or isnt a part of the mix.
"They have a great corps of receivers," Cowher
