to put the ball in the air, in part because hes better prepared to handle the speed of the game and the pressure of throwing on the run.
"I feel a lot more comfortable," Wright said. "I think this week is going to be a lot better."
He believes in his ability to win, which is half the battle at quarterback, a position that requires leadership skills as well as a strong throwing arm.
In that regard, Wright has both. When hes in the huddle calling a play, theres is no fidgeting or stammering.
"I think the guys look at your eyes, they look at your posture," he said. "If they feel like youre confident in the play that youre calling and the things that youre doing, then theyre going to have confidence in the offense. If youre jittery and kind of nervous, then theyre going to be nervous, too."
In five NFL seasons, Wright has started only six times. He realizes this is his chance to prove he can be a regular, and nothing will stop him.
"Of course I want to be an NFL starting quarterback. Thats anybodys dream," he said. "My job right now is to come in here and do what I have to do to win games. Thats the only agenda that we have, thats the only agenda that I have. If that happens, everything else will fall into place."

According to Baltimore Sun staffer Brent Jones, Billick told the media to "check with me next week" to see if Ray Lucas would surpass Chris Redman on the depth chart.
Lucas has not been promoted. In fact, Billick made it seem as though the team never considered elevating Lucas, who remains behind Wright and Redman heading into tomorrows game against Seattle.
"He is still learning," Billick said. "Ray is here to give us that third quarterback in a disastrous situation. Although I would not limit Ray in any way, at no point did we sign Ray with the anticipation of him moving into the two, or even the one position, but he has to be ready should something happen to one and two."
