You had to wonder, since he had made his first 21 field-goal attempts this season and 22 straight dating to last year. But Sunday against Washington he had his first two misses, going wide right from 47 and 54 yards.
"Thats part of it," he said this week. "There are times that you make kicks that you probably shouldnt make. You can overanalyze it; there are things that you want to do consistently, and I kind of pulled the first ball. If there had been a little bit of cross-wind, it mightve blown back. Those things happen sometimes."
Kasay is 22-of-24 on field-goal attempts and 16-of-16 extra-point kicks, giving him a team-leading 82 points.
"Were not perfect; Im not perfect," he said.

In an article published Monday, PFW noted that for the past few years, Muhsin Muhammad had been the Panthers go-to guy, the receiver who could break open a game with his speed and silky moves. This season, Steve Smith has become the teams No. 1 receiver and gamebreaker, and Muhammads role has been reduced.
But with the Panthers finally winning, Muhammad seems to be handling the situation quite well.
"I think that Ive had limited opportunities in the passing game," Muhammad told PFW. "What the coaches are asking me to do within the blocking scheme and within the passing game, Im just trying to do that to the best of my ability."
