No wonder hes thrilled to join the New England Patriots for their stretch run toward the playoffs.

The Patriots shored up their injury-depleted wide receivers group by signing him Tuesday, six days after Jacksonville cut him and there should be plenty of opportunity for Stokes once he learns an offensive system that, he said, "is completely foreign to me."
No decision has been announced on whether hell play tomorrow at Houston. The Patriots have one other healthy receiver who has caught an NFL pass tis season: Rookie Bethel Johnson.
David Patten is out for the season and Troy Brown, Deion Branch and David Givens are listed as questionable for Sunday, all with leg injuries. Of those five, the 6-foot Givens is the tallest. Stokes is 6-4 and could become a goal-line target for Tom Brady.
"I think it is going to complement our Smurfs pretty good," Brady said with a laugh.
One of them agreed.
"Hes a veteran receiver and he pretty much knows what goes on around on our side of the field," Branch said, "so it shouldnt be too hard for him"
