Ill have more on Georges status as further details become available.','11/21/2003','4:00:00 PM','Friday',632 6202,8,12,'Greens Problems Growing Exponentially...','According to Associated Press sports writer Tom Withers, police found a steak knife stuck in a kitchen cabinet and marijuana while searching the home of running back William Green, whose fiance has been accused of stabbing him in the back.
Green, currently suspended by the NFL for violating the leagues substance abuse program, was hospitalized Wednesday after being cut in his home.
Asia Gray, Greens girlfriend since high school and the mother of his two daughters, is charged with felonious assault and domestic violence. She pleaded innocent.
Green has told police that the injury was accidental, that he tripped while walking up stairs. But police dont believe him and Gray was arrested while Green was being treated for his wound.
During a search of Greens home on Wednesday night, police discovered a stainless steel knife with suspected blood on the blade imbedded in a kitchen cabinet door.
They also found marijuana in four separate locations in the home, according to a search warrant inventory list obtained from the Cuyahoga County Clerks office.

Police responding to the scene noticed wood fragments from a bathroom door that appeared to have been forced open. They also detected "a strong odor of marijuana" in the master bedroom and bathroom, the affidavit stated.
