This week, the Patriots signed former San Francisco 49er and Jacksonville Jaguar J.J. Stokes and re-signed Dedric Ward to bolster the wide receiver position for Sundays game with the Houston Texans.
David Patten is out for the season, and Troy Brown, David Givens and Branch are listed as questionable. Bethel Johnson is the only healthy receiver on the Patriots who was with the team last week and has caught an NFL pass.
Branch played in New Englands 12-0 win over Dallas last Sunday, catching two passes for 69 yards. Hes caught 31 passes for 496 yards and two touchdowns this season.

X-rays taken after practice Thursday showed a small fracture on the outside of his thumb. The injury occurred as the starting flanker caught a pass from quarterback Doug Johnson.
Finneran missed Weeks 2 through 5 after breaking his left hand in the season-opening win at Dallas.
"The last one was a lot different," Finneran said Friday.
