doctors have not given Rogers a timetable for a return to action.
"Its hard to say," Rogers said Wednesday. "The doctors told me this week I could start doing a few exercises to get my arm strengthened back up. They havent told me when I could play or when I might be back up."
When asked if he felt hed definitely be back this season, Rogers didnt sound optimistic.
"If thats the right move," the wide receiver said. "We cant cross that road until the doctors tell us."
Rogers was the teams leading receiver with 22 catches, 243 yards and three touchdowns when he got hurt.

As expected, the Lions placed Scotty Anderson on injured reserve Wednesday with a severe high ankle sprain.
Anderson was injured in Sundays loss at Seattle. He had 17 catches for a team-leading 325 yards and two touchdowns in seven games.
The Lions filled the roster spot by signing receiver David Kircus from the practice squad.
"I expect something (from Kircus) because he is going to be playing," Mariucci said. "He has been waiting for this opportunity and he is practicing hard and practicing well. Hopefully, he will take advantage of this opportunity."
"It feels great," said Kircus, a 2003 sixth-round pick out of Grand Valley State. "Its a huge honor for me. It was an honor for them to bring me back to the practice squad. They let me go and they didnt have to bring me back."

Pro Football Weekly noted this week that Mariucci had been hoping to lean on tight end Mikhael Ricks and wideout Az-Zahir Hakim as downfield threats.
Unfortunately, neither man has been able to separate from defenders and the lack of a vertical threat has hamstrung the Lions offense because defenses have stacked the line to stop the run.
Ricks has been benched in favor of undrafted rookie Casey Fitzsimmons, whom some scouts compare to 49ers tight end Eric Johnson.
