But Terrence Edwards is the man most likely to move into the receiving rotation this week.
According to the Sports XChange, Edwards, who has been active for just three games this season without catching a pass (or getting a chance to try), is vying with Jimmy Farris this week for the right to be the Falcons No. 3 receiver this week.
Edwards was undrafted out of the University of Georgia, but was sensational in training camp for the team. Hes slight, at about 6-feet-1, 174 pounds, but demonstrated soft hands in camp. Hes been rarely used, though, because of his relative inability to help on special teams.
The decision to waive McCord on Monday may have paved the way for Edwards to show what he can do in game situations.

The Falcons are last in the NFL with a 25.4 percent third-down conversion rate after succeeding on one of 12 tries at New Orleans. Kurt Kittner did not complete any of his nine third-down pass attempts, was sacked once on third down and threw an interception.
Atlanta was no better on third downs with Doug Johnson at quarterback, however, converting 24.6 percent through the first six games. Johnson will return to the starting lineup Sunday against the Titans.
