Fiedler said he participated in every drill in practice, some at full speed, and took snaps on back-to-back plays at times Wednesday.
"I felt good enough today to go out there and play," said Fiedler, who was injured Oct. 19, "The soreness was down to a minimum."
Head coach Dave Wannstedt said he hasnt decided whether to start Fiedler or Brian Griese, who has played the past four games and struggled in the past three.
"Jay worked in every drill and looked fine," Wannstedt said. "Well see how he is Thursday and take it day to day."
In an attempt to complicate the Redskins preparations, Wannstedt will likely wait until Sunday to disclose which quarterback will start.
"They both are a little bit different in their style of play," he said.
The Dolphins were 4-2 when Fiedler went to the sideline. Theyre 2-2 with Griese and beat Baltimore 9-6 Sunday, even though he completed just 13 of 32 passes.
"Im going to go out and prepare like I am going to play," Griese said.
Miamis first-team offense has gone nine consecutive quarters and an overtime without a touchdown, which makes it likely Fiedler will rejoin the lineup when healthy. He worked in shorts Wednesday and wore a brace on his left knee.
