What is Fantasy Football

In its simplest form, the idea of fantasy sports is no different than any other game or contest that involves testing your knowledge against a group of friends. Fantasy sports was created over 20 years ago when a group of baseball fans took the bragging rights of — "I know more about the game than you do" — to a game level by creating rules and scoring systems to define what "best" was.

Fantasy football has become the most popular of all fantasy sports in recent years, mostly because it is one of the easier fantasy games to play. A group of friends — known as team "owners" — get together at the beginning of the football season and select a roster of NFL players with the idea of putting together the team that puts up the best statistics each week. Fantasy football contests can be found in many places on the web. They range from contests and leagues that are a total waste of time to some of the most challenging you can find.

(shoulder) and Jonas Jennings (hip flexor).

Thats not encouraging for a team thats lost three in a row and managed only five field goals and three safeties over that stretch.

Henry and Moulds have accounted for more than half of the Bills offense this season, combining for 1,427 of Buffalos 2,787 yards of offense and scoring 10 of the teams 17 touchdowns.

Jennings and Williams, meanwhile, play key roles in both opening holes in the run game and protecting quarterback Drew Bledsoe who has been sacked 30 times this season.

No excuses, said Moulds.

"Ive missed three games but thats not an excuse for other guys not to step up and make plays," said Moulds. "We had opportunities last week to make plays and we just havent made them."

In last Sundays loss to Houston, the Bills points came on two field goals and a pair of safeties. Most troubling was how Buffalo had three drives stall inside the Texans 20, including once when rookie receiver Sam Aiken dropped a potential touchdown pass while open at the goal line.

Moulds practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday after sitting out last Sundays game. He hasnt been the same, seeing limited action in two games, since he was hurt in an Oct. 5 win over Cincinnati. Hes hopeful that hell be able to play.

Henrys status is less certain after he spent practice on the sideline, wearing a protective boot. He was hurt in the first half of Sundays game, but returned to play in the second half on a limited basis.

Head coach Gregg Williams was optimistic that Henry will play.

As noted in this weeks Team Notes, if Henry doesnt play, the Bills will go with Joe Burns, a second-year veteran, who has 28 carries for 71 yards this season. Burns struggled in his only start this year, managing just 17 yards on eight rushes in a Sept. 28 loss to the Eagles. Henry missed that game with torn rib cartilage.

Its unlikely Henrys injury would open the door for rookie running back Willis McGahee to make his NFL debut. The first-round
