Friday, Sports Illustrated insider Don Banks noted that Miamis offensive problems have been blamed on poor quarterbacking and the lack of quality offensive line play in the running game. But heres a good indication of how few playmakers the Dolphins really have on offense:
No. 2 receiver is Derrius Thompson, the former Redskin who caught 53 passes for 773 yards in a breakthrough season in 2002, has just 14 catches for 196 yards in nine games for the Dolphins, paltry numbers for a starter.
At his pace of 21.8 receiving yards per game, Thompson would need to play in 46 games this season to crack the 1,000-yard barrier. ...

"Count on it," the veteran offensive guard said Wednesday as Buffalo prepared for todays game against Houston.
According to Associated Press sports writer John Wawrow, Brown made his prediction not only because Texans head coach Dom Capers is noted for the zone blitz, but its also clear that recent opponents have been successful in rattling quarterback Drew Bledsoe.
Dallas rushed as many as nine players in last weekends win, completely stifling the Bills offense and forcing Bledsoe to lose two fumbles. Kansas City was almost as tenacious in its Oct. 26 win over Buffalo.
"Everybody else has been successful slowing our offense down doing it," Brown said. "It would be crazy for them not to."
So how do the Bills counteract it?
Make the big play, something thats been missing recently. Bledsoe and the offense have sputtered during a seven-game stretch in which theyve won only twice.
During that span, Bledsoe has been sacked
