stopped tossing deep balls his way.
That may change tomorrow, though, against the Miami Dolphins. Robinson is expected to start for a hurting Frank Sanders, who is in danger of missing tomorrows game with an ankle injury. Dolphins cornerbacks Sam Madison and Patrick Surtain like playing press coverage, which could open up opportunities downfield.
"With Frank being down, just the sheer number of reps [should increase]," Billick said. "Marcus has been fine when hes been in there. We havent been able to get the ball to him on a consistent basis. Hes certainly going to have that opportunity now to impact the game just by the sheer number of reps."
Robinson, the Ravens and more than a few Fantasy owners expected more explosive plays from a receiver who, four years ago, was as big a deep threat as any in the league.
Maybe with Anthony Wright at quarterback now, he and Robinson can relive magic from their college days. Robinson was one of Wrights favorite targets when the two were at South Carolina.
"This will give me the opportunity to showcase my talents a little bit more," Robinson said. "Whenever you get that opportunity, you have to take advantage of it."
For the record. ... Billick did say the team is waiting until game time before making a decision on Sanders. "Im amazed at how quickly hes come back," Billick said.
If Sanders doesnt play, Ron Johnson will resurface as the teams No. 3 receiver after spending the last three weeks a healthy inactive.
Billick specifically called out Johnson during his interview session Wednesday, wanting the second-year player to take advantage of this opportunity.
"I know I slacked off when I had the surgery," said Johnson, who has one catch this season and missed two other games after minor knee surgery. "I was down because I knew I wasnt going to play for at least two, three weeks. Its just a lot different now going into meetings, knowing Im going to play in three-receiver sets."','11/15/2003','2:15:00 PM','Saturday',581 6151,12,11,'Schedule
