There were no dramatic developments for Keenan McCardell or Joe Jurevicius on the practice field Friday but, more importantly, there was no bad news.
As reported by St. Petersburg Times staffers Rick Stroud and Joanne Korth, McCardell, who left practice Thursday after straining his right hamstring, participated in individual drills Friday. Although hes listed as questionable, McCardell said he will play.
Jurevicius appears to have made it through his first full week of practice, and according to the Tampa Tribune, the veteran receiver said on his WQYK radio show Friday evening that he intends to play.
The Bucs have a short walk-through practice this morning, their final preparation for Sundays game. Jurevicius return could serve as a morale boost for the offense, which has not scored in the first half in the past two games.
"Were going to have to make some plays," head coach Jon Gruden said. "Offensively, weve got to get started faster. Weve got to get started faster in the game. Weve got to make some timely plays in the kicking game and get better field position for that to happen."
For the record, Jurevicius and McCardell will remain questionable on the injury report and will be evaluated again on Sunday before the game. The teams starting tight end, Ken Dilger, is also questionable due to the elbow injury he suffered early in the game at Carolina last Sunday.
