According to Pro Football Weekly, James Jackson is stronger and healthier than he was a season ago, which goes a long way in explaining why hes been running harder this year.

Fallstrom noted that Marc Bulger knows freelancing is a big no-no with head coach Mike Martz. He insists deviating from the playbook wasnt a factor in his struggles in an ugly victory over the Ravens.
"Im not going to make excuses," Bulger said as the Rams returned to practice this week. "Its probably just a little miscommunication."
Bulger was rattled by a first-quarter interception thrown into triple coverage and ended up with a career-worst 110 yards passing. The Rams leaned on a defense that produced seven turnovers and totaled seven sacks in a 33-22 victory last Sunday. He appeared at times to be forcing the ball to Torry Holt, the NFLs top pass-catcher, even if the play called for a different primary receiver.
"If you start to interpret who those guys are, then in my mind youre finished," Martz said. "You no longer belong here as a quarterback."
Kurt Warner, the Rams two-time NFL MVP turned high-priced backup, is on the bench partly because he got into a bad habit of not following his reads while losing eight straight starts over a two-year period. Bulger said if he was guilty of that against the Ravens, it wasnt on purpose.
"It wasnt a case where I came out and deliberately went away from the read progression," Bulger said. "Maybe the coverage wasnt disguised but I misinterpreted it.
