It is no longer surprising to see Burress drop a ball. Last season, he had four drops in a game against Houston and later dropped a key pass in the playoff game at Tennessee.

His problems this season have been well-documented.

Burress was asked to explain the drops.

"Its just trying to get into a rhythm," he said. "Last year, it was just like breathing. We were hitting, hitting, hitting. Now, its hit-miss, hit-miss."

Maddox said he hasnt lost confidence in Burress, who considers himself an elite receiver -- and one who wants the ball more.
