was listed as doubtful on Wednesdays injury report, making it all but certain Rudi Johnson will make another start at tailback when the Bengals go up against Kansas City this Sunday.
"He continues to have some irritation there," head coach Marvin Lewis said of Dillons abdominal strain. Dillon did not practice Wednesday.
According to the Sports XChange, Lewis plan now appears to be to rest Dillon until he gets completely healthy. Johnson ran for 182 yards on 43 carries in Dillons spot, and Johnson has two 100-yard games as a starter.
Also on the injury front. ...
Receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh (hamstring) was listed as questionable, his most promising listing of the season. but his status for Sunday is far from certain. ...
With Reggie Kelly (foot) out, the teams depth at tight end will be tested again. Tony Stewart and Matt Schobel have provided solid blocking in the run game while continuing to provide quarterback Jon Kitna with targets in the pass game.

Wide receiver Chad Johnson signed a five-year contract extension Wednesday that will keep him with the Bengals through 2009.
"I want to stay in Cincinnati. ...until Im 40," Johnson said.
Johnson, 25, is in his third year of a four-year contract thats paying him a base of $426,500. The extension adds five years to his current four-year deal. Johnson declined to say how much the contract was worth, though it was reported to be for an estimated $25 million in new money with a signing bonus of $10 million-$12.5 million.
"Its a whole lot of money," said Johnson, who leads the AFC with 807 receiving yards and whose 16.8-yard average is tops in the NFL for receivers with at least 37 catches.
The contract extension was the highlight of a week in the spotlight. Johnson got the ball rolling by "guaranteeing" a victory over the undefeated Chiefs.
"And Ive got to finish it off with a bang Sunday," he said.
