How much time does all this take?

The answer to this question depends in large part on just how competitive your league is and how much you want to "master" the game. But, generally speaking, you'll at least want to skim the NFL news once or twice per week to see if any of your players are injured, about to lose their job, etc. You will also need to go in and select a starting lineup once each week some time prior to kickoff of the first NFL game.

In the simplest leagues you can spend as little as 5-10 minutes per week on your team, while in highly competitive leagues you can spend hours scanning the services like the FootballDieHards.com, making trade proposals and speculating as to how your players will perform in the coming week.

The Titans doctor cleared him after a physical Monday, and head coach Jeff Fisher held him out of Tuesdays organized workout as a precaution before letting him kick away Thursday.

"We saw everything that we missed last year from him -- the distance and the height and the quickness and the leg strength," Fisher said. However, Northcutt is due a $2 million roster bonus next spring, which could give the Browns the option of terminating the contract after just one season.

He had been scheduled to make about $700,000 per season over the next three years.

Clevelands top playmaker the past two seasons, Northcutt expected to be a free agent in March. But his agent, Jerome Stanley, failed to file the proper paperwork in February that would have voided the final three years of Northcutts original seven-year contract with the Browns.
