How much time does all this take?

The answer to this question depends in large part on just how competitive your league is and how much you want to "master" the game. But, generally speaking, you'll at least want to skim the NFL news once or twice per week to see if any of your players are injured, about to lose their job, etc. You will also need to go in and select a starting lineup once each week some time prior to kickoff of the first NFL game.

In the simplest leagues you can spend as little as 5-10 minutes per week on your team, while in highly competitive leagues you can spend hours scanning the services like the FootballDieHards.com, making trade proposals and speculating as to how your players will perform in the coming week.

Gramatica has made 75 percent of his field-goal attempts and all 60 of his extra point tries during his career, which has been hindered by injuries.

He kicked in only four games for the Arizona Cardinals last year before being sidelined with a back injury.

He may be best known for injuring his knee during his rookie season in 2001. After kicking a 42-yard field goal against the Giants, he celebrated by jumping in the air but landed awkwardly and saw his season ended because of the injury.

Besides Bryant and Gramatica, the Giants will also have free agent Todd France in training camp.','05/17/2004','18:45','Monday'5571,2004,1100 6655,24,75,'Roundup: Burress Absent Again; Collins To Visit Pack & More','According to Associated Press sports writer Alan Robinson, receiver Plaxico Burress was a no-show again when the Steelers resumed their offseason workouts Tuesday.

Burress was fined earlier this month for missing a mandatory mini-camp.

"I thought he was going to be here, but obviously hes not," said Hines Ward, the Steelers other starting receiver. "Its sad. I dont think it had to come to this. ... Ive got to prepare like were going into the season right now without Plax; we dont know what is going to happen."

Robinson further noted that head coach Bill Cowher didnt discuss Burress latest absence, leaving the field about halfway through the hour-long workout without speaking with reporters.

However, Cowher was visibly displeased when Burress was the only player to skip the teams post-draft mini-camp May 7-9, saying, "Im very disappointed in his decision and we are ready to move on with or without him."

Cowher was even angrier because Burress never told the coach he wouldnt attend.

Burress might -- or might not -- have cleared the air last Thursday, when he told a national radio audience the Steelers were "inconsiderate" toward players for holding a mandatory mini-camp on Mother Days
