And while his current injury isnt serious, its certainly worrisome. It becomes even more so in light of Wannstedts claim that Bostons weight could be a factor in his history of lower-body injuries.
"It is probably debatable, [but] it doesnt help when you are quite as big as he is," Wannstedt said. "Now he has lost weight since he has been here and has continued to lose weight [and] we are not playing a game next week. I think it is something we are just going to have to keep working on."
As of last Sunday, Boston tipped the scales at about 240.

Wannstedt said hes "just concerned about performance."
"If he was 210 or 260, it all comes down to how well are you performing on the field," he said. "And right now hes not performing. Hes banged up. Hes getting treatment and hell be ready to go the next quarterback school. And he needs to go and we need to get him out here and get him going. ..."
Ill continue to keep an eye on Bostons progress and update as developments warrant in coming weeks. ...
In a related note. ... While Marvin "Snoop" Minnis handled the No. 3 role last weekend, Minnis was unable to separate from fellow backups Derrius Thompson, J.R. Tolver, Sam Simmons, Terrence Wilkins and Kendall Newson.
