How much time does all this take?

The answer to this question depends in large part on just how competitive your league is and how much you want to "master" the game. But, generally speaking, you'll at least want to skim the NFL news once or twice per week to see if any of your players are injured, about to lose their job, etc. You will also need to go in and select a starting lineup once each week some time prior to kickoff of the first NFL game.

In the simplest leagues you can spend as little as 5-10 minutes per week on your team, while in highly competitive leagues you can spend hours scanning the services like the FootballDieHards.com, making trade proposals and speculating as to how your players will perform in the coming week.

Madison had 50 tackles and three interceptions, one he returned for a touchdown. The Dolphins have the 20th pick in the April 24 draft; the Vikings pick 19th.

Head coach Mike Tice said he knew nothing about trade talks for Moss.

"Its ridiculous," Tice said. "There has been so much talk about Randy. Randys under contract. He cant go anywhere unless we want him to go somewhere."

Rumors of the deal first went national Sunday night, when Sporting News columnist Dan Pompei wrote: "The Vikings apparently have come to the conclusion they will be better off without Randy Moss and quietly have been trying to gauge his trade value. Moss would like a new start and has given the Vikings a list of a few teams he would be willing to play for.

"Vikings coach Mike Tice has made repeated attempts to appease Moss during Tices two years in charge, but Moss is believed to be unhappy with team management and the offensive game plans."

And according to Larry-Fitzgerald.com, a web site run by the father of University of Pittsburgh receiver Larry Fitzgerald, Moss took offense to a comment Tice made in which he compared getting the best out of Moss with cracking a nut.

Larry Fitzgerald Sr. is the sports editor of the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder, an African American newspaper in the Twin Cities. ...

According to Salguero, the Vikings are also believed to have talked with the Arizona Cardinals about Moss. Former Vikings coach Dennis Green was hired this offseason as Arizonas coach.

But a source close to Moss told Salguero Tuesday that Moss would not mind
